Diagnostic Characteristics:
This submersed aquatic plant has long grass-like leaves that can be to 2 m in length and 3-10 mm wide. The flowers float at the water surface on long extending pedicles.

Management:
Avoid changes in moisture/hydrologic conditions at the site. Changes could result from overstory removal, stream/wetland alteration or vegetation removal that would result in increased erosion.
