Habitat:
Wet woods and meadows.

Species Description:
Perennial herb.

Phenology:
Flowering Period: Early March to late July.

Diagnostic Characteristics:
Like other Stellarias, S. longifolia, has notched petals. Leaves are linear. Seeds smooth and sepals are 3.5-4.5 mm long and faintly 3-veined.

Management:
Disturbance such as ATV trails, timber removal or any activity that results in increased erosion and weed invasion will be detrimental.
