Habitat: Boulder/cobble river bars.

Species Description: Perennial herb.

Phenology: Flowering Period: Early August to mid October.

Diagnostic Characteristics: Plants are glabrous except occassionally in infloresence. Leaves are progressively smaller up the stem and mostly basal. The infloresence generally a raceme but not second. There are 7-10 rays. Plants occur on gravel bars in Kentucky as far as we know.

Management: Soil disturbance resulting from activities such as ATV trails, timber removal or any activity that results in increased erosion and weed invasion will be detrimental. Exotic pest plants are a threat to this species and should be removed.
