Diagnostic Characteristics: Leaves of Solidago buckleyi are large and coarsely serrate, are largest at mid-stem and to 14 cm in length. The infloresence is usually mad up of axillary clusters and that are subtended by leafy bracts. The pappus bristles are longer than the achene. Achenes are glabrous.

Management: Timber removal would be detrimental. Disturbance such as ATV trails, timber removal or any activity that results in increased erosion and weed invasion will be detrimental.
