Species Description:
Perennial herb.

Phenology:
Flowering Period: Early April to late June.

Diagnostic Characteristics:
This wetland yellow-flowered buttercup has hollow stems and may be erect or reclined and rooting the nodes. It has leaves entire (without lobes) and serrate. The upper leaves may be linear/lanceolate and they are 5-16 cm long and 1-3.5 cm wide. The petiole is winged and sheathing the stem.

Management:
Avoid changes in moisture/hydrologic conditions at the site. Changes could result from overstory removal, stream/wetland alteration or vegetation removal that would result in increased erosion. Exotic pest plants are a threat to this species and should be removed. Avoid creating access to the site through trail or road construction.
