Diagnostic Characteristics: This wetland yellow-flowered buttercup, Ranunculus ambigens, has hollow stems and may be erect ir reclined and rooting the nodes. It has leaves entire (without lobes) and serrate. The upper leaves may be linear/lanceolate and they are 5-16 cm long and 1-3.5 cm wide. The petiole is winged and sheathing the stem.

Management: Avoid changes in moisture/hydrologic conditions at the site. Changes could result from overstory removal, stream/wetland alteration or vegetation removal that would result in increased erosion. Exotic pest plants are a threat to this species and should be removed. Avoid creating access to the site through trail or road construction.
