Habitat:
Damp prairies, glades, and shores, wet soil.

Species Description:
Annual herb.

Phenology:
Flowering Period: Early June to late July.

Diagnostic Characteristics:
This plant occurs in swamps and the leaves are divided into filiform segments. The bracts below the infloresence are well developed and in this species are 3 cleft; sepals are deltoid.

Management:
Avoid changes in moisture/hydrologic conditions at the site. Changes could result from overstory removal, stream/wetland alteration or vegetation removal that would result in increased erosion. Exotic pest plants are a threat to this species and should be removed. Avoid creating access to the site through trail or road construction.
