Habitat: Quiet pools along streams.

Species Description: Perennial aquatic plant.

Diagnostic Characteristics: The submersed leaves have 25-37 veins, at least the largest ones, and are folded lengthwise. The achenes are 4.5-5 mm - larger than other similar species.

Management: Avoid changes in moisture/hydrologic conditions at the site. Changes could result from overstory removal, stream/wetland alteration or vegetation removal that would result in increased erosion.
