Species Description:
Annual grass.

Diagnostic Characteristics:
This plant is an annual with the fruiting panicle equal to or exceeded by the leaves of the plant. Seeds round in shape, glumes (bracts at the base of the fruit) non-silky/ciliate along the margins and surface glabrous (without hairs).

Management:
Disturbance such as ATV trails, timber removal or any activity that results in increased erosion and weed invasion will be detrimental.
