Habitat:
Moist sandy soils, swampy ground, shallow water and mud flats of sloughs and reservoirs, and along creeks.

Species Description:
Annual or perennial herb.

Phenology:
Flowering Period: Early August to late October.

Diagnostic Characteristics:
This species in the bluet genus has minute white flowers (corolla is 2 mm wide). Flowers are in loose clusters. The leaves and the fruit are long-hairy.

Management:
Timber removal would be detrimental.
