Diagnostic Characteristics: L. terrestris differs from other species of loosesrife in having glabrous stem, leaves and pedicels, the leaves usually opposite. Flowers are yellow and are arranged in a terminal racemose (long unbranched elongate) infloresence.

Management: Avoid degradation of water quality or changes in natural stream flow. Exotic pest plants are a threat to this species and should be removed. Avoid creating access to the site through trail or road construction.
