Habitat:
Dry to mesic slopes, especially in base-rich soils.

Species Description:
Perennial herb.

Phenology:
Flowering Period: Early May to late June.

Diagnostic Characteristics:
Lathrys species have a terminal tendril of the leaf, distinguishing them from other herbaceous legumes. This species has 8-12 leaflets and the stem is eondless. The infloresence is a raceme with 10-20 flowers.

Management:
Exotic pest plants are a threat to this species and should be removed. Avoid creating access to the site through trail or road construction.
