Habitat:
Open wetlands, alluvial forests, wet streambanks.

Species Description:
Perennial herb.

Phenology:
Flowering Period: Early June to late September.

Diagnostic Characteristics:
Gratiola viscidula has steam leaves that clasp the stem and the fruit, a capsulte, is shorter than the sepals. the leaves are generally have 3-5 sharp teeth and 3-5 nerves.

Management:
Avoid changes in moisture/hydrologic conditions at the site. Changes could result from overstory removal, stream/wetland alteration or impacts due to erosion. Exotic pest plants are a threat to this species and should be removed.
