Perennial herb.

Diagnostic Characteristics:
This mountainmint is distinct in having a regular calyx (all 5 lobes about equal) and the flowers tightly packed so that only the primary branches may be visible. Leaves are 2-3 times as long as wide and over 1.5 cm in width.
