Habitat:
Moist woods and thickets, associated with limestone derived soils.

Species Description:
Vine.

Phenology:
Flowering Period: May-June.

Diagnostic Characteristics:
The flowers are swollen on one side of the base and generally yellowish green (rather than orangish). Leaves are glaucous on the lower side (below) and green above. A glandular hypanthium distinguishes it from other varieties .

Management:
Exotic pest plants are a threat to this species.
